The largest challenge of this project was incorporating the client’s long wish list into a property where the house footprint had been maximized to setback lines, leaving little usable space on this sloping lot.
With steep drop-offs, looming shoreline, and no level playing or entertaining space, our client was afraid to let her 18-month old child out into the yard. Our task was to provide a complete master plan for the property including restructuring retaining walls, creating an entry courtyard and gardens, a new deck, a flat play area, and access to and improvement of the shoreline.
The new stone patio, outcrop stone walls, diverse planings at the front door create a welcoming entrance, inviting neighbors to visit, enjoy the garden and one another.
