This small backyard was transformed from an overgrown, under-utilized, pass through space into the client’s entertaining oasis. An architectural trellis and raised planter reference interior detailing and help define the property line while screening the neighbor’s small machinery repair hobby. The new backyard layout incorporated and expanded upon an existing paver patio and walk. Drainage problems were mitigated through a new property line swale, new garage gutters, and rain barrels. We took a diligent look at what was working, what could be improved upon, and what should be ‘pruned’; saving the client money and enhancing what they loved about the property.
